Arofax was one of the most powerful
men in the universe. After the mysterious murder of his
political arch-nemeses and previous Overseer of the
Universal Council, Arofax, who was previously
Vice-Overseer, became the Overseer of the Council. He
then appointed Hamor, one of his closest friends and
advisors, as Vice-Overseer. He vowed that the Council
would decide the fate of chemical 636, find out the
murderer of the previous Overseer (which he later finds
out is the Darkness Magician), and to bring peace to the
universe.
After seeing the great systematic methods of Howard
Jackson’s UMDA on Modius, he offered Jackson the chance
to form a Universal UMDA that would become somewhat of
an executive or military branch of the Universal
Government. Arofax also became interested in the
scientific breakthrough of the Biosphere on Agrista.
Because he himself could not attend a special
presentation by the Biosphere’s top scientist and C.E.O,
he sent Hamor in his stead.
Unknown to Arofax, the Darkness Magician had other plans
for the Universal Council. By literally enslaving the
Robotic Confederation, the Confederation captured Arofax
and brought him before the Magician. Arofax was killed
in the Magician’s magma chamber after being told that he
was to be killed by the same killer of his predecessor.
