Astrodor became a member of DaShinta
when he was young. Youthful and vigorous, the Shintinian
quickly learned the meaning of war and sacrifice when
his home planet of Shinta fell into civil war. During
this time, he was eventually promoted to second in
command of DaShinta under Manador. DaShinta succeeded in
putting down the rebellion and the planet of Shinta
remained a sovereign power.
No sooner had the planet reconciled with itself did
Darkness make its move on the Universal Government. With
the fall of the Committee and the Council, Shinta voted
to become a neutral planet of the universal community
and certified DaShinta as its official enforcement and
protection organization. DaShinta failed to foresee the
growing threat of undercover Darkness agents working
within the planet’s political system and the Eradication
eliminated more than half Shinta’s leaders.
Manador and Astrodor, as well as the entire DaShinta
organization, immediately fell under attack. Because the
planet of Shinta had not been completely suppressed to
Darkness rule, General Rakiar, as part of a campaign to
bring the remaining planets to Darkness control,
launched an all-out assault on the planet. Always the
dangerous one, Astrodor flew out to meet the Darkness
space fighters in a space battle that erupted around the
Shinta planet. Manador and Astrodor were temporarily
captured by the General’s trap and they eventually met
face to face with Rakiar. Rakiar killed Manador but
Astrodor managed to escape. He met with the remaining
members of DaShinta and they left Shinta to its fate.
Astrodor immediately made friends with UMDA’s
commander-in-chief, Howard Jackson. He was summoned to
the planet Magria where Jackson, Astrodor, Lapca of
Ychitov, and many smaller military organizations met.
There, they discussed their options of dealing with
Darkness. Astrodor fervently opposed any action that did
not call for a war against the evil organization and
voiced his opinion louder than all of the others.
However, a tie held up the final decision and Astrodor
looked to others to pass his war-strong agenda. He
placed his final hope in Jude Forque and was
disappointed when the elf-girl made the compromising
decision to wait until they gathered their full strength
before attacking Darkness’s headquarters on the planet
of Tawoo.
Angry yet willing to follow the decision of the Triple
Union, Astrodor led DaShinta to several different
galaxies throughout the universe and began to rebuild
his forces. Darkness intelligence continued to reveal
DaShinta’s, as well as the other members of the Triple
Union, location. They finally decided to meet a final
time in the Optomon Galaxy and, in the main hanger of
the DaShinta Command Ship, made their final plans to
launch a concentrated attack upon the Darkness base of
Galgathôn.
Although usually outranked and overruled by Jackson,
Astrodor never left Howard’s side. During the Cosmic
Battle, he commanded the right flanks of the UMDA host.
He would fight until the death on the tundra fields of
Tawoo before the Dark One’s ultimate weapon, Galgathôn. |
