Hamor was a typical politician in the
Universal Council as a representative from Modius. He
befriended Vice-Overseer Arofax and was a strong
believer in chemical 636. When Arofax became Overseer,
Hamor was selected as Vice-Overseer. Traditionally, a
new representative should be chosen for Modiun
representation in the Council but the Modiun people
enjoyed Hamor’s service so much that they voted for him
to continue to be Modius’s representative as well as
Vice-Overseer.
Overseer Arofax sent Hamor to Agrista where he
investigated the Biosphere. Unknown to the other
visitors and employees of the Biosphere, Hamor poured
some sort of drug into the plants that eventually made
them become wild and ferocious. After the Biosphere was
under control, Arofax was kidnapped and killed.
Immediately, Hamor was inaugurated as Overseer of the
Universal Council and claimed that he would bring
whoever the murderers were to justice. When the Robotic
Confederation began to orbit Modius and form a blockade,
Hamor communicated with Queen Kida on negotiation with
Emperor Visus of the Confederation. Unfortunately, their
communications were cut off. As the Confederation took
over the planet, Kida left Modius and went to Massovi
where she met with Hamor to discuss their options. Hamor
was quite pessimistic about the chances of saving their
planet. He convinced Kuuba that the only way to save the
planet was to claim that there was no justice in the
Council and proposing new representation from all
planets. This would allow the Overseer to have temporary
executive power while the planets elected new Council
representatives. As Kida’s companions searched for the
energy crystal on Yatunsus to prove that her story is
true, Kida played into Hamor’s hands and claimed that
there was no justice in the Council. The Universal
Council was dismissed.
Kida, still upset with her decision for the vote of no
justice, decided to go back to Modius and fight her own
battle. Hamor said the he would take her. Kida left with
Hamor in a small transport ship. When Kida met with
Hamor in the ship, he turned on her and tied her to an
electric chair. He began to torture her for information
about another energy crystal that Kida truly did not
know about. Kida was saved; however, when Universal UMDA
commandeered Hamor’s ship. Hamor was no where to be
found when the ship was searched.
While the Universal Council was disbanded and the
Committee taking over its responsibilities, Hamor was
not heard from for over twenty years. |
