Nasil’s humble beginnings started
when he became the apprentice of magician Monís Cärtëpt.
He was taken young because his parents had abandoned
him. Nasil was a slow learner and a rash young
apprentice. He yearned to be a part of the public Magic
Ministry that his Master was involved in. His chance
came when Cärtëpt was summoned to the great Wizard’s
Convention. Nasil was given the chance to witness
history in the making as thousands of magicians,
sorcerers, warlocks, and witches assembled to end the
Dark Age. He was introduced to the concept of a supreme
being called the Superior Spirit during this time.
Although his Master did not approve, Nasil grew in
spirituality by a young magician who was thoroughly
immersed in the Superior Spirit. Nasil met his life-long
companions, Hidûd ’Odhs and Jocğ Micoc, who were also in
their apprenticeships. He befriended the older Velégnor
who had just been deemed a full-ranking warlock. He also
met a radical magician named Crazbudar.
During the many years of the Wizard’s Convention, Nasil
grew considerably in size and in respect for his magical
abilities. When the assassination of Monís Cärtëpt
occurred, Nasil was honored to take his Master’s place
at the Convention. Nasil continued to work for goodness
and agreed with delegates who wanted a democratic
universal legislature. When Crazbudar rebelled against
the Convention and the War of the Crystals began, Nasil
was a large forceful reminder of why the Wizard’s
Convention and the mystic and powerful energy crystals
were created. Crazbudar and Nasil became arch rivals and
constantly engaged in magicians’ duels. When Nasil had
finally defeated Crazbudar, he was given the title Nasil
the Great. Nasil was also instrumental with the hiding
of the final ten energy crystals. He saw to the creation
of the Universal Government and was unanimously elected
to sit as High Elder of the Universal Committee.
He was awoken one night by the Superior Spirit and given
instructions to continue a set of plans that Nasil was
not fully aware of. He continued his Master’s work and
set up the five teenagers, Amy, Cody, Jennifer, Mark,
and Lucas, to go to Modius and “discover” the energy
crystals. He assigned a magician from the Committee to
watch over the five energy crystals once they were taken
back to Earth.
Nasil yearned to help King Neffon and Queen Ursila when
the Witch Gratifa cast a spell over their daughter,
Princess Kida but he could not because of the politics
of the Universal Government. But when Nora, Glorita, and
Felfo arrived a second time on Massovi because Gratifa
had indeed fulfilled her prophecy, Nasil dispatched his
apprentice, Jude Forque, to save the Princess. Nasil
secretly observed his apprentice and when Gratifa was
“too out of hand”, Nasil showed himself and defeated the
evil Witch.
Nasil oversaw the startling trend of Council overseers
being assassinated by unknown disgruntled murderers. He
witnessed the inauguration of Overseer Arofax and
Vice-Overseer Hamor. He was also present at the
inauguration of Hamor to the office of Overseer.
When Nasil heard of an attack on Modius, he hurried to
the planet to learn that his apprentice was wounded in
the battle. He used a healing spell and she regained
consciousness. Nasil also congratulated Jude when she
defended the Agristan city from the Biosphere’s
bewitched gungle.
Nasil visited Velégnor on Nemuson twice within two
hundred years. The first time, Nasil spoke to Velégnor
about instructions from the Superior Spirit. The two
agreed that they had to work together to stop Satantine
from returning. Velégnor agreed to use his sense of
foresight and physic investigation to learn of the Dark
One’s plans. The second time Nasil visited his old
friend was two hundred years later. By that time, the
warlock had been completely seduced by the Dark Ways.
Nasil and Velégnor battled in Velégnor’s palace of
Mazä-Ĵeal before Velégnor was defeated and killed when
he fell out a window. Nasil vowed never to speak of this
incident except with Hidûd ’Odhs and Jocğ Micoc.
When the Robotic Confederation formed a blockade around
the planet of Modius, Nasil and the other elders of the
Committee sent Forque and Arous to negotiate with
Emperor Visus. Nasil later learned that the
Confederation attempted to kill his apprentice and
killed Arous. He advocated his disapproval of the
Confederation’s actions but his comments fell on deaf
ears. He later disclosed information about an energy
crystal located on Yatuns. He sent Jude Forque and other
Modiuns to retrieve it. He later heard of Queen Kida’s
actions and how she took back the Modiun throne without
Universal Government support. He also learned of the two
energy crystals being taken from their owners. He
arrived on Modius to learn from Nora, Felfo, and Glorita
that two mysterious and young magicians had engaged them
in a magical duel. He suspected the servants of
Satantine to be behind the takeover of Modius. A few
days later, he married Kida Kuuba and Ronvoy Messedu.
Nasil continues to serve as high elder of the Universal
Committee of Magicians. His influence in the Debate
Room; however, seems to be fading as more and more
delegates are turning away from the idea of the
possibility of a return by Dark One. |
