Galgathôn is the terrifying fortress and headquarters of the
evil organization, Darkness. Its roots go all the way back to Demondar’s sulfur
and brimstone lair on Originia but was destroyed when Originia broke apart and
all life was forced to start anew. It wasn’t until the return of the Dark One
that Galgathôn began reconstruction on the planet of Tawoo—the former location
of the Wizard’s Convention.
On the very site where hope and prosperity seemed to
flourish, Darkness began building a structure so massive and so terrible that
nothing in the entire universe’s history could compare. Although it is built
merely out of steel and other constructional materials, Galgathôn is surrounded
by the workings of the Dark Ways. Toxic fumes and wicked creatures inherit miles
upon miles of territory around the Darkness headquarters.
A large concrete wall surrounds
the unfathomable sides of the eighty-story base of Galgathôn. The second level
was seventy stories high and nearly two-thirds the width of the first base.
Within these two layers housed countless Darkness soldiers, guards, spaceships,
zolds, monsters, and war machines. From this base come four towers named Matuára,
Gardintuára, Krartuára, and Wactuára meaning hate, conquer, torture, and
slaughter. The towers contained dungeons and tortyre chambers for Darkness’s
captives. Dwarfing the towers was Black Tower, the Dark One’s dwelling. The
outside of this coal-black tower contained gothic spires and shining dark
jewels. Scenes of appalling actions and demonic speech covered the tower’s top.
Praises to Satantine could be read from afar. It contains a large, triangular
window overlooking Galgathôn. The new addition to Galgathôn was The Weapon, a
large dome-shaped structure taller than any other in the universe. It contained
a doorway nearly a mile and a half in radius and kept a giant gun-like barrel
inside. Once the ten energy crystals were collected, the horrendous energy would
be funneled through The Weapon and out to every corner of the universe. |
